The world’s largest social media networks have shut down.
Since 4:39 p.m. on Monday, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook have been experiencing major outages all over the world.
The three applications — all of which are under Mark Zuckerberg’s control.
Visitors to the WhatsApp website are seeing a 5xx Server Error, and the company’s other apps are also down at the same time.
WhatsApp confirmed the issue on their verified Twitter account, stating that the organization is aware of the problem and is trying to restore service.
“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”
